1. The service and these Terms

vuwel provides free browser tools to compress, resize and crop images, remove a background color, convert images to JPG or PNG, pick colors from images, and generate color palettes. No account or payment is required.

These Terms explain the service, appropriate use and its limitations. The site currently provides results without asking you to expressly accept these Terms. Visiting the site, processing an image, generating a palette, copying a value or downloading a file does not constitute acceptance. We do not rely on these actions to establish your agreement to contractual exclusions of warranties, limitations of liability or a choice of law.

Image processing and palette generation take place in your browser. Your image files are not uploaded to our server for processing, and we do not provide a server copy from which to recover your generated files. Usage and error records and feedback are separate and are described in our Privacy Policy. These Terms are not consent to data processing that requires separate consent.

2. Check results before relying on them

The tools process the images, colors and settings you provide. They do not verify the truth, ownership, safety or legal compliance of that material. They do not provide legal, accessibility or other professional advice, certify compliance, or create a professional-client relationship.

Check your inputs, settings and results against the original material before using or distributing them. A successful preview does not guarantee that another application, display or printer will reproduce the result as intended. Keep your originals and check the downloaded files or copied values in their intended setting before publishing or printing.

Compression re-encodes images and may reduce quality and pixel dimensions to approach the selected file size; the target size may not be reached. Resizing can soften or distort images, and cropping removes content outside the selected area. Check file size, dimensions, proportions and retained details before use.

Background removal works by matching colors within the selected tolerance and area, not by identifying a subject with AI. Background edges may remain, and similar colors in the subject may be removed. Check the exported PNG on the background where you intend to use it.

Format conversion depends on the formats your browser can decode. JPG conversion may lose detail and replaces transparent areas with white. Conversion of animated images produces a still frame rather than preserving animation. PNG conversion preserves supported transparency but does not restore lost detail or guarantee a smaller file. Check the exported image in the application where you intend to use it.

Picked HEX and RGB values come from image pixels decoded by the browser, not from a calibrated measurement of a physical object or printed color. Main colors summarize the image rather than the selected point. Color appearance can vary across displays and printing conditions; check the colors in your final design and, when printing, in a proof.

Palette contrast results apply only to the displayed Text / Background and Text / Primary button pairs, using their color values and the selected text-size category. They do not assess every color combination, the actual text size and placement in your design, or the accessibility of a whole page or printed item. Check the final design in its intended setting.

The tools do not calculate third-party fees or determine compliance with a printer's or platform's requirements. Third-party file requirements, fees and policies may change; check the current requirements of the service you intend to use. We do not control third-party services or their continued availability.

Your duty to check results does not remove any responsibility that applicable law places on us.

3. Lawful use

Use the tools only for lawful purposes and with information and materials you are entitled to use. Do not forge credentials or documents, create deceptive images for fraud, impersonate another person or business, distribute malicious content, infringe others' rights, or assist fraud. Do not claim that vuwel has verified or certified your identity, images, palettes or other content.

4. No warranties

The service may contain errors, be unavailable, or produce results that do not work with your intended devices or materials. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, complete or current information, or accurate color reproduction or suitable output in every setting.

To the extent this provision is validly incorporated into an agreement with you and permitted by applicable law, the free service and its outputs are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without express or implied warranties, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, currentness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not treat use of the site alone as agreement to this warranty exclusion. This clause does not exclude any warranty or obligation that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

5. Limits on liability

Only to the extent this provision is validly incorporated into an agreement with you and permitted by applicable law, Dan Kim excludes liability for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including lost profits or lost data to the extent they are indirect or consequential losses. We do not claim that this contractual exclusion binds you merely because you use the site. It does not set a zero-dollar limit on all claims or exclude liability for direct losses where the law makes us responsible.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or remedy that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit. These Terms do not waive mandatory consumer protections or statutory rights. Where a limitation is prohibited or unenforceable, it does not apply.

6. Governing law and disputes

To the extent a choice of law in these Terms is validly agreed, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without depriving you of mandatory protections that apply under the law of your place of residence or other applicable law. Without such agreement, applicable law is determined by the relevant legal rules, not by your use of this site alone.

You may contact us about a concern at the address above, but doing so is not a condition of seeking legal relief. A dispute may be brought in any court that has jurisdiction under applicable law. These Terms do not require exclusive proceedings in Korea, arbitration, or a waiver of class actions or other rights to seek legal relief.

7. Changes

We may update the tools and these Terms. Revised Terms will carry a new version number and effective date. We will clearly identify material changes on this page. Changes will not apply retroactively, and continued use does not constitute acceptance of revised Terms.

The current service has no acceptance or renewed-acceptance step. If we later seek to rely on contractual restrictions, we will present the applicable Terms and a summary of material restrictions and request express acceptance before providing the results to which those restrictions would apply. Material changes to agreed rights or obligations would require renewed express acceptance for future use. Acceptance of Terms would remain separate from any consent required for personal data processing.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
